Now on to the intro - I will turn 46 in May and as of Tuesday will have been happily married for 27 years to the same wonderful man.(May 27) The Lord blessed us with a daughter who a true blessing in character and spirit (She will turn 26 in guess what month? - that's right MAY). Yes we do have alot going on in MAY

The above picture is one of our favorite areas to picnic.  It is on the Pascagoula River otherwise known as the Singing River.

Some of the things I enjoy are reading (Christian fiction), crocheting, cross-stitching, birdwatching, photography ( in fact you can see and download some of my pics at webshots) and playing on the computer.

I am a blood washed, born again, Bible believing Christian. The Lord Jesus Christ is my very best friend. You see I am a sinner ( don't looked shocked - so are you) I was condemned and on my way to Hell. Jesus, the sinless Son of God, died on the cross in my place and took my punishment. On the third day He arose from the dead and was waiting and wanting to save me. He offered me the free gift of salvation that He bought for me with His blood and I accepted. I did not want to go to Hell and I believed He loved me and did what He did to save me, so I told Him I was sorry for my sins and asked Him to come into my heart and save me and He did! The best news I can share with you  is HE WILL DO THE SAME THING FOR YOU! If you are honest you have to admit you are a sinner. As a sinner we are separated from God and condemned to Hell. The good news is though, no one has to go to Hell. Jesus died on the cross for you too. With His blood He paid for your sins just like He did for mine. He is offering you that blood bought gift of salvation also if you will believe Him and receive it. Too often we want to try and do something to earn salvation or help God save us, but there is absolutely nothing we can do. Just like a drowning person can't save themself - all they can do is call for help. Jesus is that Help - He is the ONLY one who can save us. If you would like to be forgiven of the sin you have committed, be cleansed and know you have a  home in Heaven, come to Jesus today and trust Him. Turn from your sin and trust the blood He shed to wash your sin away, ask the Lord Jesus to come into your heart as your Lord and Saviour and He will.  I pray you will know Him as your Saviour and best friend too.

Here is a picture of the rest of our family. These two are adopted and they have a lot of hair but we love them anyway! This is Lily, our dog and Callie, our cat. I am a firm believer the Lord sends you want you need when you need it and I believe He is the one who sent us our furry family members. They both came up as strays to our yard and I am very glad they did.

Remember people the Bible says in Proverbs 12:10a

A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast

so lets take care of our animals, keep them fenced or housed so they don't get hurt, "fixed" so they don't have unwanted babies, and given plenty of food, water and love.

Update 6/06

We had to say goodbye to our Lily last month. She either had a stroke or something and it would have been cruel to make her continue like she was. I miss her like crazy. My daughter about the same time bought a new puppy, a silver and black miniture schnauzer, that she named Silver Belle. She is going to drive me crazy. I will be glad when the early part of puppyhood is behind us. She is a smart lively pup that will keep us very busy. Here is a pic of her.

The Legend of the Singing River

The famous Singing River is known throughout the world for its mysterious music. The singing sounds like a swarm of bees in flight and is best heard in late evenings during late summer and autumn. Barely heard at first, the music seems to grow nearer and louder until it sounds as though it comes directly under foot.

An old legend connects the sound with the mysterious extinction of the Pascagoula Tribe of Indians. Pascagoula means 'bread eaters'. The Pascagoula were a gentle tribe of contented, innocent, and inoffensive people, while on the other hand the Biloxi were a tribe who considered themselves the 'first people' and were enemies of the Pascagoula. Anola, a princess of the Biloxi tribe, was in love with Altama, Chief of the Pascagoula tribe. She was betrothed to a chieftain of her own tribe, but fled with Altama to his people. The spurned and enraged Biloxi chieftain led his Biloxi braves to war against Altama and the neighboring Pascagoula. The Pascagoula swore they would either save the young chieftain and his bride or perish with them. When thrown into battle the Pascagoula were out-numbered and faced with enslavement by the Biloxi tribe or death. With their women and children leading the way, the Pascagoula joined hands and began to chant a song of death as they walked into the river until the last voice was hushed by the dark, engulfing waters.

Many believe the modern day sound is that of the death song of the Pascagoula tribe. Various hypothetical scientific explanations have been offered for this phenomenon, but none have been proven.

Legends are interesting and fun, but usually only based a bit of truth. I am glad to know that we have a book full of stories and instructions that are not legends but the absolute truth without any errors! That book is the BIBLE- God's own words to us.
